About Ben’s Got Tiny Homes

A Passion for Creating…

My passion for creating things with Ben’s Got Wood, and the joy of building top quality custom made products for my customers led me to Tiny Homes.

Tiny House has become a massive “movement” in America, and Australia isn’t far behind. Helping to reduce carbon footprint, extra income through Airbnb, low cost living and increased savings are just a few of the benefits that people enjoy with their own Tiny House.

During a visit back to my roots in England I began to research Shepherds’ Huts which have been used in England for centuries. Taking the basic principals and design of these fantastic tiny houses I have added a modern twist and designed my own Shepherd’s Hut that will easily blend into your landscape.

Ben’s Got Wood

It all began with a change in career. After running my own Sales company for over a decade, I wanted something new. Armed with just basic tools in a friend’s garage, I started experimenting with old decking planks and made my first item – a wine rack.

From there, I moved on to crafting and selling raised garden beds made from reclaimed wood. My U-Bed design was a hit and became very popular.

I realised there was a demand for well-made items that weren’t mass-produced. So, I started creating and selling custom Chicken Coops, Dog Houses, Cat Enclosures, Averies, Picnic Tables, and Kids Mud Kitchens across NSW and ACT.

With each project, I found joy in creating unique, high-quality pieces that people loved. It’s been a journey of discovery and fulfillment, and I’m excited to continue designing and building custom creations for years to come.
